Randy and Beth Tischer, Owners

Together, Randy and Beth Tischer lead the Green Velvet Turf Team, founded in 1959 by Randy’s father and mother, Ray and Mary. Today, Green Velvet grows over 600 acres of sod and distributes turf, ornamental products, supplies and equipment throughout Ohio.

Andy Berryhill, Delivery

A real farmer at heart, Andy has over 6 years experience delivering and unloading your sod and turf supplies. Each of Andy’s deliveries comes with a friendly smile.

Mike Blair, Special Projects Director

Mike keeps things running at Green Velvet, overseeing sod production, harvesting and maintenance. With over 32 years of turf knowledge, Mike has experienced every aspect of turfgrass production and distribution.

Randy Cooke, Retail Sales

Randy has been with us for 19 years and handles inside sales. Randy will soon begin calling on many of our retail garden center customers.

Larry Coriell, Sales

Larry has been a part of the Green Velvet Team for over 25 years. Having started with us while still in high school, Larry handles inventory, orders turf supply products and handles outside sales to golf and landscape customers.

Tim D’Aurora, Sod Production

Tim works at our Snider Road Farm and operates our big roll harvester, as well as mowing with our new 36’ rotary mower. He’s been keeping our grass green for over 8 years.

Len Dunaway - Technical Representative

Len is the newest member of the Green Velvet Turf team, but brings over 30 years experience as both a golf course superintendent and turf equipment salesman. There is no doubt that Len knows the Turf Industry probably as well as anyone in the industry !

Rob Foster, Sod Production

Rob is our number one automatic PITA harvester operator! He makes sure that the quality of each roll of sod is perfect. He has been with Green Velvet for over 9 years.

Craig Fryman, Technical Representative

Craig has over 23 years of sales experience in the golf and turf industry here in Western Ohio! He will be on the road visiting customers and promoting the wide range of turf and related products that we sell.

Mark Gilbert, Sod Production

Mark has been in the turfgrass business for most of his life. He brings over 36 years of experience to Green Velvet. Today, Mark does it all, including tillage, harvesting and maintenance at our Snider Road Farm.

Mark Hackley, Delivery

Mark has been one of our great delivery drivers for the past 10 years. He goes out of his way to ensure that all of Green Velvet’s customers receive exceptional service with every order he delivers.

Joyce Hupman, Operations

Joyce has been a big part of our office for over 21 years. She is involved in sales, order processing, billing and receivables. You name it, and Joyce does it, all while making our customers feel appreciated.

Randy Ralston, Delivery

Randy came to Green Velvet 21 years ago, and he has handled a great deal of turfgrass in that time! He drives a delivery truck, spyder forklift, and everything else that we throw at him!

Scott Robinson, Sales

Scott has been with Green Velvet for over 22 years! He has a total of 31 years of experience in the turfgrass business and handles outside sales to golf courses, lawn care operators and landscapers.

Mike Spicer, Scheduling and Inside Sales

Mike joined Green Velvet 3 years ago as our warehouse manager. Mike is a talented young man and now works at our main office in Bellbrook scheduling your orders and deliveries.

Sean Standifer, Sod Production

In his 7th year at Green Velvet, Sean works at our Snider Road Farm running our harvesters, assisting with mowing, irrigation and fall planting.

Doug Swope, Farm Manager, Snider Road

Doug is our Farm Manager at the Snider Road Production Farm. Doug has been with us for 18 years. He loves Green Velvet so much that he never leaves the farm....in fact, he lives on it!
